Planetary Devastation
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
The game is about a black hole trying to gather as much mass as it can to grow, pretty much like a black hole behaves in the real world. Once it reach a critical mass it will turn into a white hole, that in theory suppose to do the exact opposite, it will get rid of its mass and create something new from it. That will create a whole new level for the player to explore. So by getting rid of the mass the player will gain something else, which connects to the theme, less is more :)
The game was created using godot 4, so you need to be able to run vulken.
Unfortunately once I exported the game I got some game breaking errors while loading the new levels of the game, so only the first level will work (I will try to fix it after the jam).
How to play:
WASD - move
Shift - accelerate
Right mouse button - aim
Left mouse button - shoot/send cosmic swarm
Main objective:
Gain as much mass as you can (3000 in the first level) by destroying other planets and consuming them by sending your cosmic swarm after they die.
You can also gain mass from nearby objects like trees.
I created most of the 3d models using blender and used https://ambientcg.com for textures and also https://ilkaytobello.itch.io/space-hud-vector for the user interface
